Luc Vedrenne

IMAGeS team

I’m a PhD student working on biomedical imaging processing through deep learning. Currenctly working on 3D point clouds registration.

About

I’m a PhD student working on the IMAGeS team of the ICube lab in Strasbourg, France.

Prior to that, I graduated from the IMT Atlantique engineer school, with a strong emphasis in computer sciences and applied mathematics.

Here are a few fields I've been working on recently:
  • Optimal transport
  • Differential geometry
  • Point cloud processing
  • Registration algorithm

Experience

PhD student - ICube
Apr 2022 - present
Currently doing my thesis on multiviews registration of higly degraded point clouds. Applied to Single Particle Localization Microscopy (SMLM).
Master 2 internship - ICube
Jan 2021 - Aug 2021
I did my master thesis in the same laboratory. I worked on particle picking, that is the detection of isolated particles on fluorescent microscopy. The aim of the project was to develop a deep learning pipeline in a weakly supervised setup.
Deep learning engineer - OncoNeural
Sep 2019 - Jan 2020
I worked for a young startup on the development of a multi organs cancer detection framework on PET-SCAN images using supervised deep learning algorithms.
